The Fleischer Foundation High School Project

The Fleischer Foundation’s dream has always been to empower underprivileged youth from Mukuru Kwa Njenga slums through education and mentorship. So far, we have managed to help more than thirty students attend high school and university education through our sponsorship program. In an effort to control the quality of the education being given to the sponsored students, The Fleischer Foundation has begun the initial work to build a high school of its own. Five acres of land have been acquired roughly 45 minutes away from Nairobi in Kajiado County. This will give us an opportunity to be able to control the environment our students will be in and, hence, better equip them with the skills needed to be successful. The school will be a first of its kind with incredibly small class sizes, qualified educators and education-focused technology.

Thanks to the generosity of donors and corporate partners, construction of the first phase has already begun and will be completed in December 2020. Not only that, Phase 2 construction starts in February 2021! We would like to appeal to you to continue supporting our efforts so this dream of ours can become a reality!

Savannah Aristokrafts specializes in construction, Interior Design and Fit-out services. They also provide all sorts of specialist solutions from the installation of electrics, lighting and plumbing-works to joinery and all types of partitions, ceilings and flooring. Savannah Aristokrafts was hired by The Fleischer Foundation in 2020.

QUANTITY SURVEYOR CONSULTANTS

Tower Cost Consultants Limited is a construction consultancy firm offering Quantity Surveying, Building Economics, Project Management and other services related to building and civil engineering works. They have over 20 years experience working in the East Africa region. Tower Cost was hired by The Fleischer Foundation as the Quantity Surveyors in 2021.

AFRICA WASTE AND ENVIRONMENT MANAGEMENT CENTRE

ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTANTS

Africa Waste and Environment Management Centre (AWEMAC) is an environmental consultancy and training firm. AWEMAC was hired by The Fleischer Foundation in 2021 to carry out an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). The EIA report ensures we promote a safe environment and sound sustainable development during the construction of our secondary school.

LANDEV CONSULTANTS LTD

PROJECT APPOINTED SURVEYORS

Landev Consultants Ltd is a Kenyan owned and operated land surveying, valuation, planning, EIA, and property consultancy firm. Landev was hired by The Fleischer Foundation in February of 2021 as the appointed surveyors for the project. They have provided both engineering & topographical surveys as well as cadastral & boundary surveys for the upcoming school.

MEP CONSULTANTS

Gamma Delta Engineers was founded in 1980. They are actively involved with Power Generating and Transmission & Distribution Utilities in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Ethiopia, and Eritrea. The Fleischer Foundation hired Gamma Delta as consultants for the Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) Engineering works. We believe that their extensive expertise will be of immense value, particularly in our endeavors to ensure the school operates using sustainable green energy
