janefaith

JaneFaith grew up with one brother and one sister in Mukuru Kwa Njenga slums. She is very proud of her family that supports her dreams of becoming a successful business person or a lawyer or both! She speaks both Swahili and English. JaneFaith enjoys learning about new things and reading novels.

David

David is a born leader, he served in his schools students council while in primary school. He would like to pursue a career in medicine and become a doctor in future. He speaks three languages, English, Swahili and Luo; his local dialect. David lives with both his parents and two siblings. David is not a very big fun of sports.

edith

Edith is the first born in a family of three. She lives with her mother in Mukuru Kwa Njenga slums. She is most proud of her mother who has single handedly raised her and her siblings doing odd jobs in the slums. Edith has a dream of becoming an Oncologist in future. In her free time, Edith enjoys playing football and reading story books.

Jared

Jared is described as hardworking, kind and humble. He is an only child and lives with his mother who sells avocados in Mukuru Kwa Njenga slums to make a living. He speaks two languages; English and Swahili. Jared would like to go to university and train to be an engineer or an architect. In his free time, Jared likes drawing and reading story books

Harnold

Harnold is described by his friends as hardworking and competitive. He hopes to join University and train to be an Engineer in future. He has three brothers and one sister who he is very protective of! His mother cooks and sells fried potatoes chips in the slums of Mukuru Kwa Njenga. He was part of the athletics club in primary school and also took part in the drama club
